Radiobiology Subcommittee

Co-Chairs:

To exchange knowledge and experience in radiation biology to support, expand and enhance treating patients with particle therapy for specific tumor indications
To foster discussions and collaborative efforts between PTCOG Subcommittees
To coordinate and manage radiobiology activities and propose new topics to be supported by PTCOG
To organize dedicated meetings and symposia at the annual PTCOG Conferences in accordance with the PTCOG Executive Committee
To promote and foster research interactions among members and PTCOG Subcommittees
To support the Education Subcommittee
To write White Papers on specific topics. Suggested topics are:
a. Biomarkers
b. Normal tissue toxicity
c. Radiobiology data translation to the clinic
d. Omics
e. What we can learn from the space radiation radiobiology research
f. New mechanistic models that include increased biological complexity
g. Radioprotection of normal tissues
h. Radio-immune therapies
i. Combined therapies
